NPW 2100 Music Theory I/Aural Theory I

Students will learn the fundamentals of music theory through a proficiency model. Students will learn the importance of rhythm through a series of learning blocks and how to dictate simple rhythms used in music. Students will learn the Nashville Number system as well as classical techniques that can be used in a variety of genres. Each section builds on the previous skill set and uses the most common theory that is used in modern music.
