PSC 2300 Introduction to Psychology
This course serves as an overview of the fundamental concepts of psychology. The perspective will be a biblical worldview in the areas of human development, intelligence, consciousness, and personality. Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:
- Understand the basic history of psychology
- Know the basics of the research process and how psychology is studied
- Evaluate conflicting ideas in psychology and accepted “truths” in our society, as well as personal beliefs.
- Describe and apply primary psychological theories to your own life and the world in general
This course or an equivalent Introduction to Psychology course is a prerequisite for the BA in Psychology program.
