Religion in American Literature is a three-credit hour course that is a survey of the American authors who have engaged seriously with the religious heritage of the country in their literary works, including Hawthorne, Stowe, Melville, Twain, Frederic, O'Connor, Powers, Potok, Buechner, McCarthy, Robinson, and others.
