Program Mission
The Master of Science: Instructional Design & Technology program allows students to improve the learning environment from classrooms to boardrooms. This 30-hour master’s program teaches key strategy and skills that can be applied immediately in your company or organization. This 10 course, 30-credit hour program can be completed in as little as 15 months. With a master’s degree in Instructional Design & Technology, you’ll learn how to incorporate education/training and technology to better your organization. MSIDT Student Learning Outcomes
Graduate of the MSIDT program should be able to:
1. Apply the Instructional Design model and principles on a consistent basis.
2. Develop learning solutions that balance learner needs with institutional and organizational resources, expectations and desired outcomes.
3. Develop dynamic environments that engage learners' interaction with images, words, videos, animations, and games.
4. Apply learning principles and high-impact practices into action within the online and mobile learning environment.
5. Design and facilitate learning experiences that draw creatively upon the latest instructional design and technology research.
6. Evaluate existing and emerging learning technologies for their potential to support and improve learning strategies.
7. Apply theories and principles of multimedia learning to the design of multimedia instructions.
8. Craft reliable and valid learning assessments that are directly supported by learning experiences
9. Create products to solve instructional problems using various technologies.
Admissions Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- A 2.75 cumulative GPA for all prior coursework
- Completion of a college-level math course with grade of C or better
- Completion of a college-level English course with grade of C or better
