SJS 2030 Introduction to Public Service Practice

During this first public service placement, students participate in at least 70 hours over the course of the semester at a public service agency consisting of nonprofit, ministry, government, or social entrepreneurship setting. Concurrently, students take a one-hour per week seminar where students develop professional knowledge and skill sets in preparation for a career in a public service sector. Students will arrange their placement during the semester preceding their placement. This course should not be taken later than the fall of junior year.
