Annual Scholarships

These Scholarships are funded on an annual basis by the donor. Awards are based on available funds and will change from time to time.

Byler Family Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the Byler family to help students experience the same positive impact Trevecca had on their family. It is to assist families with more than one child attending Trevecca.

Camp Garner Creek Nazarene Scholarship

Camp Garner Creek Nazarene Scholarship was established to financially assist Nazarene students who live on the MidSouth District and have a connection to the camp. This is an annual scholarship which is funded by the Camp Board.

Teka Canady Marriage and Family Therapy Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Teka M. Canady, a 2020 graduate of Trevecca’s Master’s of Marriage and Family Therapy program. The purpose of this fund is to assist African American students in the Marriage and Family Therapy program with identified financial need.

Chick-fil-A Melrose Music City Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2020 with gifts from franchisees Rod and Susan Riley. The purpose of this annual scholarship is to support students with financial need who are employed at the Chick-fil-a Melrose Music City.

General Superintendent Scholarship

The Board of General Superintendents makes available a scholarship for ministerial students.

Gerald and Delores Green Ministerial Scholarship

This scholarship was created by Dr. Timothy Green, Dean of the Millard Reed School of Theology and Christian Ministry, to honor the over 30 years of Gerald Green’s ordained ministry in the Church of the Nazarene and the over 30 years of Delores Green’s active service as a pastor’s spouse and subsequent 23 years of service at Trevecca Nazarene University. The fund was established to assist traditional undergraduate students who are Religion majors with a Pastoral or Youth ministry concentration and are preparing for ministry in the Church of the Nazarene.

Dr. Wilma D. Johnson Servant Leadership Scholarship and Award

This scholarship was established with gifts from family and friends of Dr. Wilma D. Johnson. Dr. Johnson lived a life of serving God and others through serving in the local church in various capacities, serving and supporting diverse community organizations, and as a member of the Trevecca faculty for over twenty years. The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize annually a student who has demonstrated the qualities of a servant leader. The award and scholarship would be presented at the spring awards chapel.

Dr. G. Michael Moredock PA Award

This award was established to honor the memory of Dr. G. Michael Moredock, long-time director of Trevecca’s Physician Assistant Program. This award was created to recognize a graduating student who emulates the qualities of an excellent practitioner.

Quick Family Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2020 with gifts from W. Gerald Quick and Kay Frey Quick. The intention is this fund is to support students with financial need, with first preference to students who are members of Nashville First Church of the Nazarene.

 

Scholarship for Awareness and Understanding of Racial and Ethnic Diversity

This scholarship was created in 2020 with gifts made from an anonymous donor. The intention of this scholarship is to support students studying Social Justice, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or Intercultural Studies (or related fields in Social Sciences) and have a calling to social justice, diversity awareness, are in harmony with the struggle of the African American journey and have identified financial need.

Trevecca Business and IT Faculty Scholarship

This scholarship was established to financially assist students who are business or technology majors.
