EEC 3250 Semiconductor Electronics
This course covers solid-state electronics and devices. Topics include the properties, structure, and construction of solid-state devices, including p-n junctions, MOS gates, diodes, and BJT and MOSFET transistors. Additional topics include study of transistor i-v characteristics, small-signal and large-signal models, BJT and MOSFET biasing, and design of amplifiers. Amplifier study will include single-stage, multi-stage, and differential amplifiers as well as current mirrors and Operational amplifiers. The design of feedback, stability, and frequency response of various amplifiers is also covered. Fee charged.
