EEC 4250 VLSI Design

Focuses on theories and techniques of VLSI design of Integrated Circuits on CMOS technology. Studies the fundamental concepts and structures of designing digital VLSI systems, such as: MOSFET characteristics, nonidealities, and layout; Complex CMOS gate design; IC sequentials, timing, setup, hold, time-borrowing, device sizing, stage delay, RC, Xcap, and repeaters ; Memory arrays, SRAM, Reg File, ROM, and PLA ; Alternate logic, Pseudo NMOS, Domino, Pass transistor, CPL; Power/performance concerns; and Schematic and Layout creation of VLSI circuit designs.
