MCM 3400 Live Media Production

 This hands-on course introduces students to the technical and creative aspects of live media production, focusing on professional audio techniques for concerts, live events, and broadcasts. Students will develop practical skills in setting up and operating professional sound systems while learning the fundamental concepts that inform production decisions. By the end of this course, students will be able to configure and operate professional audio equipment, create effective monitor and front-of-house mixes, implement digital audio networking using Dante, program digital mixing consoles, apply principles of acoustics to optimize sound in various venues, execute broadcast-quality mixes, and capture multi-track recordings of live performances.
