COM 3270 Feature Film Screen Writing

 This advanced screenwriting course guides students through the conceptualizing, creating, outlining, writing and revising process of an original, feature-length screenplay. Students will explore and apply concepts and techniques of story structure (beats), subtext, dialog, character-development, theme, and plot using industry-standard formatting. Students will create industry-standard documents such as one-liners, treatments, beat sheets, and pitches as they learn about the career of the working screenwriter. This course will engage students in storytelling as a creative endeavor, inspired by God - the first and greatest story creator.
